About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Outokumpu is implementing measures at its Kemi chrome mine in Finland to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of 2025, including full replacement of fossil fuels in its own and contractors' fleets with Neste MY Renewable Diesel. This step alone reduces the mine's annual GHG emissions by nearly 11,300 tonnes, representing almost 30% of the total target reduction of nearly 40,000 tonnes. Additional measures include low-emission electricity and alternative heating methods. Evidence: "With the use of renewable fuel supplied by Neste, the Kemi mine’s annual greenhouse gas emissions will decrease by nearly 11,300 tons. This will mean achieving almost 30% of the total carbon neutrality target for the Kemi mine." — https://www.outokumpu.com/en/news/2023/outokumpu%E2%80%99s-kemi-mine-to-become-the-first-carbonneutral-mine-in-the-world-by-2025-%E2%80%93-almost-a-third-of-the-target-to-be-achieved-with-neste%E2%80%99s-renewable-fuels-3336064
