About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
16 MW photovoltaic solar farm with 15 MW battery energy storage system at the Kibali mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project supplements existing hydroelectric stations and increases the renewable share of the mine's energy mix from 81% to 85%. Evidence: "Kibali continues to demonstrate how operational performance and lower-emissions energy solutions can be integrated at scale through its renewable energy infrastructure, including hydropower and solar generation." — https://s25.q4cdn.com/322814910/files/doc_downloads/sustainability/Barrick_Sustainability_Report_2025.pdf
