About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Agreement signed in early 2023 to source 100% of electricity consumed at the Kittilä mine from wind or nuclear power sources, supporting decarbonization of Scope 2 emissions at the Finnish operation. This replaces higher-carbon grid or on-site generation with low-carbon alternatives as part of broader climate targets. Evidence: "In early 2023, the Company signed an agreement for clean electricity which ensures that 100% of the electricity consumed at the minesite is produced by wind or nuclear power." — https://www.agnicoeagle.com/English/operations-and-projects/global-operations-and-development-projects/kittila/default.aspx

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
