The LaunchStores4AramisCCS project develops the first two offshore CO2 storage sites within the Aramis CCS value chain, addressing technical challenges of injecting high-pressure liquid CO2 into ultra-depleted gas fields using innovative Friction Controlled Dual-Phase (FCDP) technology. It offers a peak storage capacity of 5 million tonnes of CO2 per year, expected to avoid more than 30 million tons over the first ten years of operation. The project supports decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries in North-West Europe and demonstrates scalable CCS solutions for the North Sea.
