About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
At the Ehime Works, Sumitomo Chemical converted power generation fuel from coal and heavy oil to LNG supplied via the Niihama LNG terminal, which began operations in March 2022. This fuel switching project reduces CO2 emissions from the company's own operations and includes plans for future hydrogen conversion. Evidence: "In March 2022, at Ehime Works, Niihama LNG Co., Ltd.* began operating the Niihama LNG Station, which supplies LNG instead of conventional coal or heavy oil." — https://www.sumitomo-chem.co.jp/english/sustainability/files/docs/climate_change.pdf
