About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

In 2024, Abbott replaced an LPG-fueled steam boiler with an electric boiler at its Longford, Ireland site. This fuel switching project reduces fossil fuel use and supports decarbonization of Abbott's own manufacturing operations. Evidence: "Longford, Ireland: Replaced a liquified-petroleum-gas (LPG) fueled steam boiler with an electric boiler, resulting in projected annual savings of more than 931,000 kWh of energy and about 260 metric tons CO2e." — https://www.abbott.com/content/dam/corp/abbott/en-us/documents/pdfs/abbott-citizenship/Abbott-2024-Global-Sustainability-Report-June-2025.pdf
