About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Chemours implemented a proprietary capture system at its Louisville, Kentucky manufacturing site to capture at least 99% of HFC-23 process emissions, a potent GHG byproduct. The project supports the company's global goal of 99% or greater reduction in fluorinated organic chemical process emissions by 2030. The system has been operational in compliance with AIM Act requirements since October 2022. Evidence: "announced the implementation of an improvement project to significantly reduce emissions of HFC-23 at its Louisville, Kentucky manufacturing site.
