About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Mitsui Chemicals established a pilot plant at its Osaka Works in 2009 to study and demonstrate the synthesis of methanol from CO2 captured from industrial emissions and hydrogen produced via electrolysis using variable renewable energy. The facility, with a capacity of 100 tons of methanol per year, was the first in the world to achieve this process. This initiative supports carbon capture and utilization efforts to mitigate CO2 emissions in the chemicals sector.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
