About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
MTU Aero Engines is using deep geothermal energy to supply heat at its Munich-Allach manufacturing site in Germany. The plant covers up to 80% of the site's heat demand with CO2-free energy from the earth, replacing fossil fuels. It was completed in three years from drilling to commissioning and is now operational, with plans for expansion by 2027. Evidence: "We cover up to 80 percent of our heat demand with energy from the earth—saving around 10,000 metric tons of CO₂ per year." — https://www.mtu.de/responsibility/ecology/climate-action-at-our-sites/geothermal-energy/
