About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Unilever partnered with TFL and Fertiglobe to pilot production of near-zero emissions synthetic soda ash for laundry powder using green ammonia from green hydrogen (renewable energy), renewable energy for boilers (cashew kernels), and CO2 capture and use in the process. Beyond the pilot, Unilever signed an agreement with TFL for ongoing supply of low-GHG soda ash reducing emissions by more than 60%. Evidence: "The soda ash is made with some of the first green ammonia produced using green hydrogen from renewable energy. ... Beyond the pilot, we have signed an agreement with TFL to supply us with low GHG soda ash made with renewable energy and CO2 capture and use, reducing GHG emissions by more than 60%." — https://www.unilever.com/news/news-search/2023/worldfirst-partnership-to-pilot-nearzero-emissions-laundry-ingredient/
