About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The N2TR project develops a pioneering continuous pyrolysis pilot plant in Antwerp, Belgium, to process end-of-life tires into high-quality recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil, minimizing carbon deposits and achieving up to 85% GHG emission reduction compared to virgin carbon black production. The facility is designed to handle 36,000 tonnes of tires annually using four reactors, addressing ash content issues and enabling reuse in new tires. Over its first ten years, it is expected to avoid 606,557 tonnes of CO2e emissions, equivalent to removing 131,000 cars from the road.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">32</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">10</argument></grok:render>
