About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Since April 2022, Tobu Railway has powered limited express trains, local trains on 23.3 km of lines, stations, and facilities in the Asakusa-Nikko/Kinugawa area with electricity matched to renewable sources via FIT non-fossil certificates, including tracked certificates from Tobu Group-owned solar generation. This achieves carbon neutrality for railway transportation in the area as part of insetting efforts. Evidence: "Since April 2022, we have replaced the electricity used by trains running in the Nikko/Kinugawa area and express trains accessing the area from central Tokyo with electricity derived from renewable energy sources, thereby realizing carbon neutrality in the area’s railroad transportation." — https://www.tobu.co.jp/spaciax/en/fun/environment/
