About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Canadian Natural Resources Limited holds a 50% ownership interest in the North West Redwater Partnership operating the NWR Sturgeon Refinery in Alberta. The refinery was designed with integrated carbon capture, capturing approximately 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 annually for transport via the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line for storage or EOR. It became operational in 2020. Evidence: "The NWR Sturgeon Refinery is the world’s first bitumen refinery designed from the ground up with carbon capture and storage to produce the high-value fuel products needed to meet North America’s demand for energy." — https://nwrsturgeonrefinery.com/
