About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Umicore's greenfield cathode materials production plant in Nysa, Poland, operates on 100% renewable electricity sourced via long-term PPA from a nearby onshore wind farm, enabling carbon-neutral Scope 2 emissions from the start of production. The facility supports Umicore's battery materials value chain and contributes to Scope 1+2 decarbonization targets. Evidence: "Striking among the Nysa plant’s sustainability credentials is the fact that it is powered by 100 percent green electricity from a nearby wind farm. Umicore has entered into a power purchase agreement to secure long-term renewable energy supply for the gigafactory" — https://www.umicore.com/en/media/newsroom/umicore-accelerates-european-e-mobility-with-nysa-gigafactory/
