About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Prudential installed on-site solar photovoltaic systems at its business operations in Zambia to address grid unreliability and reduce diesel generator use, improving resilience and cutting emissions. Similar on-site solar generation for internal consumption was implemented and began reporting in Vietnam operations in 2025 as part of the Environmental Toolkit for decarbonizing operations across Asian and African businesses. Evidence: "our Zambia business experienced significant disruption due to the unreliability of the utility power grid, which we addressed through the installation of solar panels. This initiative has successfully reduced business interruption risks and minimised the costs for generator usage." — https://www.prudentialplc.com/content/dam/prudential-plc/sustainability-social-impact/sustainability/sustainability-reporting/climate-transition-plan-2026.pdf
