CBA initiated an onsite solar PV installation program in 2015 to reduce Scope 2 emissions from electricity use in its Australian retail branches and operations. Installations were completed at 19 branches during FY19 as part of a broader rollout targeting 30 branches by mid-2017, contributing to the group's on-site renewable capacity of approximately 2 MW and progress toward RE100 renewable electricity targets.
