About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
NTPC’s NETRA R&D arm commenced drilling India’s first CO2 injection borewell at Pakri Barwadih coal mine in Jharkhand to a depth of ~1,200m. The project gathers geological data for safe CO2 storage as part of NTPC’s broader CCUS program to develop indigenous carbon capture and storage capability for power and industrial sectors. Evidence: "NTPC Limited has marked an important milestone in the nation’s clean energy transition by commencing drilling for the country's first-ever CO2 Injection Borewell at its Pakri Barwadih Coal Mine, Jharkhand. ... This first-of-its-kind project is a critical component of NTPC’s broader Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS) program." — https://ntpc.co.in/media/press-releases/ntpc-drills-indias-first-geological-co2-storage-well-pakri-barwadih
