About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The PRIMUS project implements a hybrid furnace combining electric heating with combustion, regenerative burners, and waste heat recovery at the Fidenza plant in Italy to decarbonize high-quality crystal glass production. This first-of-its-kind application in the sector reduces direct methane consumption and achieves a 61% GHG emission reduction, from 6,800 to 2,600 tonnes CO2e per year. Over the first ten years of operation, it will deliver approximately 42,300 tonnes of CO2e savings, with scalability to the broader glass industry.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
