About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Project Air is a pioneering initiative led by Perstorp to produce 200,000 tons of sustainable methanol annually using carbon capture and utilization (CCU), green hydrogen from electrolysis, and biomethane from residue streams. It substitutes fossil methanol in European chemical production, enabling carbon neutrality across industrial value chains and reducing dependence on imported fuels. The project is set to significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions upon commissioning at the end of 2026.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
