About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
PepsiCo is electrifying heat processes at its snack manufacturing facility in Broek op Langedijk, Netherlands (Lay’s and Cheetos production) via Project VOLT, partnering with Eneco and KRAFTBLOCK for high-temperature thermal storage to phase out natural gas and use renewable electricity. This targets Scope 1/2 emissions reductions at the site. Evidence: "PepsiCo, in partnership with energy company Eneco, is undertaking a project to electrify the heat processes at its snack manufacturing facility in Broek op Langedijk... In the initial phase, this electrification solution is designed to reduce the plant’s CO₂ emissions by approximately 50%, eliminating over 8,500 tonnes of CO₂ annually." — https://www.fooddrinkeurope.eu/industry-action/pepsicos-large-scale-sustainable-electrification-project/
