About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Norberg Mine Storage project aims to develop a 15 MW pumped storage hydropower plant using the site and workings of the decommissioned Norberg iron ore mine in Sweden. It employs PSH technology in a novel underground configuration to store renewable electricity, provide grid balancing services, and operate on ancillary markets with quick mode switching. Over three years, the pilot is expected to save more than 63,732 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions while repurposing post-industrial infrastructure.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
