About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Metsä Group launched pre-engineering for Finland's first commercial wood-based carbon capture plant at the Rauma pulp mill, applying for government support. The project builds on the 2025 pilot and aims to capture biogenic CO2 from mill flue gases for potential utilization. Evidence: "The latest initiative is a commercial-scale wood-based carbon capture facility planned for Rauma, where pre-engineering started in early 2026. ... The potential plant would be located at the Rauma pulp mill, with a nominal capacity of around 100,000 tonnes of biogenic CO₂ annually." — https://www.metsagroup.com/metsa-group/strategy/investments/
