About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Boliden is electrifying the Rävliden deposit extension of the Kristineberg mine in the Boliden Area with battery-electric and trolley-assisted machinery, including loaders, trucks, and a 5 km electric trolley line, to achieve the world's first fossil fuel-free underground mining operation. This fleet and process electrification targets Scope 1 emissions from diesel equipment, which accounts for the majority of mine emissions. Production has started with full electric operations targeted for the first half of 2025. Evidence: "Boliden intends to implement a full scale, autonomous electric-trolley system in the Rävliden mine, a satellite orebody and extension of the Kristineberg mine, and has placed an order for four (4) Minetruck MT42 SG Trolley trucks from Epiroc." — https://new.abb.com/news/detail/114639/boliden-epiroc-and-abb-make-first-battery-electric-trolley-truck-system-for-underground-mining-a-reality
