About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Nutrien's Redwater, Alberta nitrogen facility captures process CO2 and exports it via the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL) for permanent sequestration or enhanced oil recovery. Operations began in late 2019, with a system expansion completed in July 2023 increasing capacity by 40% to over 800 tonnes per day, enabling over 300,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. Evidence: "Redwater started exporting CO2 into the ACTL in late 2019 for permanent sequestration via enhanced oil recovery. In July 2023, the site completed a CO2 system expansion project to boost CO2 sequestration by an additional 40 percent with the ability to export over 800 tonnes per day into the ACTL." — https://www.nutrien.com/news/stories/advancing-carbon-solutions-and-reducing-emissions-redwater
