About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Suzano's new Cerrado Project pulp mill in Ribas do Rio Pardo (MS) incorporates biomass gasification technology to fuel lime kilns, replacing fossil fuels. The mill is nearly entirely powered by renewable energy from process by-products (black liquor and biomass), achieving self-sufficiency and exporting surplus clean energy to the national grid. This represents a 97% reduction in lime kiln emissions compared to fossil fuel use. Evidence: "É também a primeira unidade industrial do grupo Suzano a operar com gaseificação de biomassa, o que representa uma redução de 97% nas emissões dos fornos de cal em comparação com uma fábrica que consome combustíveis fósseis." — https://centraldesustentabilidade.suzano.com.br/indicadores/MCLIM1

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
