About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Petrobras approved the Final Investment Decision for Brazil's first CCS pilot project at the Cabiúnas gas treatment unit in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro. It will capture CO2 from natural gas processing and inject up to 100,000 tonnes annually into a deep saline reservoir starting in 2028 to test technologies and support future commercial hubs. Evidence: "The goal of the São Tomé CCS is to capture up to 100,000 tons of CO₂ per year, over three years starting in 2028, and inject it into a deep saline reservoir." — https://brazilenergyinsight.com/2025/09/18/petrobras-approves-pilot-project-to-capture-and-store-100000-tons-of-carbon-per-year/
