About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Teck partnered with Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) and Solvest to deploy a solar array with battery storage at the remote Schaft Creek copper-gold development project in British Columbia. The 3-year project reduces diesel fuel use for camp power by over 70% and associated GHG emissions. Evidence: "It is estimated that this solar array and battery installation will reduce carbon emissions for camp power by more than 70% resulting in significant cost savings over the next three years. In one month of full utilization in 2024 the diesel fuel consumption was reduced by 83%." — https://www.teck.com/news/stories/2025
