JAL joined a multi-company initiative launched in August 2024 to develop a Scope 3 environmental value trading scheme to promote SAF use and decarbonize aviation. Phase 1 demonstration testing (August 2024–March 2025) successfully verified trading mechanisms at Narita Airport, with expansion planned.
