About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
SD Guthrie operates 19 methane-capturing biogas plants across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea as of 2024, capturing methane from palm oil mill effluent (POME) for renewable energy. Additional plants are under construction or recently commissioned in 2025, with a target of 46 plants by 2030 to abate Scope 1 emissions. Evidence: "We have successfully operationalised 19 methane-capturing biogas plants across the Group as of 2024. ... We plan to increase our biogas plants to 46 mills by 2030." — https://www.sdguthrie.com/who-we-are/what-we-do
