About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Xcel Energy owns and operates the Sherco Solar project, a large-scale solar facility at the site of the retiring Sherco coal plant in Minnesota. Phase 1 came online in 2024 delivering carbon-free electricity, with Phases 2 and 3 completing in 2025 and 2026 for a total 710 MW capacity replacing coal generation and powering 150,000 homes. Evidence: "This is the first large-scale solar facility we have owned and operated, and it’s an important milestone on Xcel Energy’s path to achieving our carbon-free vision" — https://stories.xcelenergy.com/stories/Power-on--Sherco-Solar-is-now-producing-carbon-free-electricity-for-customers
