About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Large-scale wastewater heat recovery system at the Alexandria Center for Life Science – South Lake Union mega campus in Seattle, launched in partnership with King County. The system extracts heat from sewer pipes to provide approximately 70% of the campus heating needs for the 1.6 million sq ft development, reducing fossil fuel use and operational emissions. Evidence: "This large-scale wastewater heat recovery system will provide an alternative energy source to heat our buildings and will improve building ... expected to provide 70% of campus’ heating." — https://www.mckinstry.com/projects/king-county-and-alexandria-real-estate-equities-inc-launch-sewer-heat-recovery-system-at-south-lake-union-energy-district/
