About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Consumers Energy is developing and will own/operate an integrated RNG biodigester and 140 MW solar array at the Spring Creek site in Barry and Calhoun counties, Michigan, in partnership with Swisslane Farms. The biodigester converts manure to RNG for the gas system while the solar provides renewable electricity, reducing emissions across electric and gas operations. Groundbreaking occurred in 2024 with RNG expected operational in 2025 and solar in 2026. Evidence: "On Thursday, Consumers Energy and Swisslane Farms celebrated the Spring Creek AgriEnergy Center partnership with a ground break. The RNG biodigester is expected to be operational in 2025, with the 140-megawatt solar array beginning operation in 2026." — https://www.michiganfarmnews.com/breaking-ground-swisslane-farms-consumers-energy-partner-on-biodigester-solar-center
