About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
CLYNGAS aims to produce high-value syngas through gasification of stabilized refuse-derived fuel (RDF) to substitute petroleum coke in CEMEX's Alicante cement plant in Spain. This innovation increases fossil fuel substitution by 8%, avoiding an estimated 406,960 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions over the first 10 years while ensuring stable production and high-quality clinker. The project aligns with CEMEX's 'Future in Action' strategy for net carbon neutrality by 2050 and promotes circular economy principles.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
