About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Surrey Biofuel Facility is the first closed-loop organic waste facility in North America, processing organic waste from over 150,000 households and commercial sources in Surrey, Canada, into renewable natural gas (RNG) and high-quality compost. Opened in 2018, it handles up to 115,000 tonnes of organic waste annually using anaerobic digestion and composting technologies, diverting waste from landfills. The produced RNG fuels the city's natural gas vehicles and is injected into the grid, while the compost enriches soil and sequesters carbon.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
