About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The SHARC project will reduce emissions at the Porvoo oil refinery in Finland by transitioning from grey hydrogen production to green hydrogen via electrolysis and blue hydrogen via carbon capture technology. Combined with offshore CO2 storage, it will develop a strong supply chain including the refinery, capture, transport, and storage facilities. It lays the foundation for a European hub for renewable hydrogen and CO2 utilization, avoiding more than 4 Mt CO2 in the first ten years of operation.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
