About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Shin-Etsu Chemical Group companies in Rayong Province, Thailand (Shin-Etsu Silicones (Thailand), Asia Silicones Monomer, and Shin-Etsu New Materials (Thailand)) will receive renewable electricity and steam from a biomass cogeneration system using Thai wood chips. The system is installed and operated by NS-OG Energy Solutions (Thailand) Ltd. at the SEST site, with energy delivery targeted for 2027, covering a portion of the plants' energy needs.
