About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
VianaWave aims to develop and operate a 10 MW pre-commercial wave energy farm off northern Portugal using CorPower Ocean's Wave Energy Converter (WEC) technology. Building on prior projects, it validates the CorPack wave cluster concept to enhance grid stability and supply clean electricity to industrial off-takers, avoiding 4,661 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions annually while generating 28.8 GWh of renewable power. The initiative overcomes wave energy's cost and durability challenges, supports EU offshore renewable targets, and fosters economic growth through job creation and supply chain development.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
