About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
NTPC’s NETRA developed and commissioned a 20 TPD CO2 capture plant, 2 TPD PEM electrolyser and 10 TPD methanol synthesis plant at Vindhyachal station. Captured CO2 from flue gas is converted to methanol using green hydrogen, demonstrating CCU technology to reduce emissions from coal-based power generation. Evidence: "As part of its commitment towards reducing carbon emission from its coal-based power plant by establishing CCUS Technologies, NTPC has taken the next step ... when it first synthesized Methanol from 10 TPD CO2 to Methanol Plant at NTPC Vindhyachal using CO2 and Green Hydrogen." — https://ntpc.co.in/media/press-releases/ntpc-embarks-produce-green-hydrogen-msw-edfagri-waste-using-plasma-based-oxy
