About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

TC Energy's Columbia Gas Transmission subsidiary replaced gas-fired compressors with electric motor-driven units at multiple compressor stations along its pipeline system in Virginia. The project reduces Scope 1 GHG emissions from natural gas compression operations while also increasing system capacity and reliability. It was placed into service in February 2024. Evidence: "Within the U.S., we placed the US$0.1 billion Virginia Electrification project in service on time and on budget in February 2024." — https://www.tcenergy.com/announcements/2024/2024-05-03-tc-energy-reports-strong-first-quarter-2024-operating-and-financial-results/
