About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

KDDI signed a 20-year virtual PPA with J-Wind (J-POWER subsidiary) for environmental value from the repowered onshore wind farm in Kagoshima Prefecture. This supports reduction of CO2 emissions from KDDI base stations in the Kyushu area by approximately 50%. The project involves upgrading the existing wind farm with new turbines expected to start operations in December 2027.
