About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

HSS-Gen2 aims to develop and produce a 700-bar ‘Plug & Drive’ hydrogen storage system for heavy-duty trucks, featuring easy integration via three interfaces, innovative sealing, and high-flow refuelling. The project involves small-scale production in Germany followed by a large-scale plant in Eastern Europe, targeting the decarbonization of road freight transport responsible for over 200 million tonnes of CO2 annually. Over its first ten years, it is expected to avoid more than 15 million tonnes of CO2e emissions compared to diesel technology.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
