About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Waste to Methanol project, a joint venture led by Eni in partnership with NextChem (Maire Tecnimont Group), aims to produce 110 kt/year of methanol from non-recyclable waste via biomass and waste gasification at the Eni refinery in Livorno, Italy. This initiative supports the circular economy by transforming waste into renewable chemicals, reducing fossil fuel dependency and landfill waste. The project is part of Eni's strategy to convert its refineries into sustainable biorefineries.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
