About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Waste2Value project, led by BEST - Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH, demonstrates the conversion of waste residues like sewage sludge and industrial byproducts into hydrogen-rich syngas through gasification in a pilot plant in Vienna, Austria. The syngas is upgraded via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis to produce carbon-neutral fuels such as green diesel and kerosene, with a capacity of 58 kL/y. Operational since 2022, it integrates with local waste incineration processes to support urban decarbonization and sustainable fuel production.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
