About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
WEC utilities began transporting RNG output from local dairy farms onto natural gas distribution systems in Wisconsin in 2023, with contracts for 2.1 billion cubic feet of RNG. This directly replaces higher-emission methane in the company's gas supply, reducing Scope 1 and value-chain emissions. Evidence: "In 2022, we received approval from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin for our RNG pilots, and in 2023, we began transporting the output of local dairy farms onto our natural gas distribution systems in Wisconsin. We currently have contracts in place for 2.1 billion cubic feet of RNG." — https://www.wecenergygroup.com/csr/cr2024/wec-corporate-responsibility-report-2024.pdf
