About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

PetroChina Yumen Oilfield Company operates a renewable-powered green hydrogen production facility using wind and solar energy for electrolysis. The project became operational in March 2024 with initial capacity producing 2,100 tons of high-purity green hydrogen annually for use in refining and other operations. This insetting initiative supports decarbonization of PetroChina's downstream and upstream value chain. Evidence: "the commissioning of the Yumen Oilfield green hydrogen project in March 2024 represents a shift from pilot to commercial-scale production. This facility now produces 2,100 tons of high-purity (99.99%) green hydrogen annually." — https://enkiai.com/petrochina-hydrogen-initiatives-for-2025-key-projects-strategies-and-partnerships/
