About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Zain partnered with Huawei to modernize over 1,800 network sites across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and other markets using green site solutions including solar power to replace or reduce diesel generators. This energy efficiency and renewables project for telecom sites has cut carbon emissions by 150,000 tons annually and reduced generator runtime significantly at remote sites. Evidence: "Over 1,800 network sites in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and some other countries have been modernized cutting carbon emissions by 150,000 tons annually... upgrading conventional diesel-powered sites in a remote desert area of Kuwait to a low-carbon model... reduction of CO2 emissions by 49 tons per site per year." — https://digitalpower.huawei.com/en/cases/site-power-facility/green-target-network
