About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Verbio SE captures biogenic CO2 from its bioethanol fermentation process at the Zörbig biorefinery in Germany. The captured CO2 is purified and liquefied on-site by partner Nippon Gases for use in food-grade applications and dry ice production, reducing Verbio's direct emissions and avoiding fossil-based CO2 sourcing. The project supports Verbio's goal of CO2 neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 by 2035. Evidence: "Nippon Gases Deutschland... is set to cooperate with VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG to recover biogenic CO2. To this end, the industrial gases specialist Nippon Gases is investing in the construction of a modern plant for the purification and liquefaction of CO2 from VERBIO's bioethanol production at the Zörbig site." — https://nippongases.com/de-en/news/verbio-2023
