About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Antofagasta Minerals transitioned all its copper mining operations (Los Pelambres, Centinela, Antucoya, Zaldívar) to 100% renewable energy supply via long-term contracts starting in 2022. This covers Scope 2 emissions from electricity use in processing and operations. The shift uses a mix of hydro, solar, and wind power. Evidence: "As from 2022, 100% of the power used by Antofagasta's mining operations will come from renewable sources: a combination of hydro, solar, and wind power." — https://www.antofagasta.co.uk/media/articles/switching-to-renewable-energy/
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
