About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
PCBL (TN) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, commissioned a 12 MW cogeneration captive power plant utilizing tail gas and waste heat from carbon black manufacturing processes at its Tamil Nadu facility. This on-site power generation displaces fossil fuel-based electricity, reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions within PCBL's own operations. Evidence: "the cogeneration captive power plant, in the state of Tamil Nadu set-up by PCBL(TN) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, having a capacity of 12 MW, has been commissioned on 7th October, 2023. With this, the total capacity of the cogeneration power stands at 110 MW." — https://nsearchives.nseindia.com/corporate/PCBL_07102023185439_IntimationofCommissionngofCogenerationCaptivePowerPlantatPCBLTNLimited.pdf
