Through the Align RNG 50/50 joint venture with Smithfield Foods, Dominion Energy develops and operates multiple renewable natural gas projects capturing methane from hog and dairy farms for injection into natural gas systems. As of end-2024, multiple phases are operational or under construction across states including North Carolina, Virginia, and others, reducing methane emissions in the company's gas value chain.
